Double Reed Sextet

Featuring the additional talents of Arlene Cochrane and Elizabeth Mailley, the quartet's performance is enhanced by the inclusion of the oboe and bassoon creating a beautifully blended ensemble providing a unique performance experience for you and your guests to enjoy.

The sextet base their repertoire upon the existing music performed by the Caledonian Quartet while adding their own hallmark to make each piece a little more unique.

Make your grand entrance and walk down the aisle to the theme from Brideshead Revisited or sign the marriage register to the beautiful sonorities of Gabriel's Oboe or The Secret Wedding from Braveheart. Other features of the sextet's repertoire include The Rose (Bette Midler) performed as a duo for oboe and bassoon accompanied by the string quartet, Jupiter from The Planets, Coldplay's Fix You or relive the romance of the Eighties with Time after Time by Cyndi Lauper.

Furthermore, the option to have a selection of music sung will be available with Elizabeth taking the lead while accompanied by the oboe and string quartet. A range of highlights from the musical theatre and opera repertoire will help set the mood and keep your guests entertained before the ceremony commences while Works such as Ave Maria, Nella Fantasia and I Dreamed a Dream highlight the signing of the register.
